Killing It!...and praising God

I have been just killing it lately on the house! The only thing I can think is that God must be blessing our work ethic. I mean we had such a big spring this year.  With the Parsonage Bathroom, the Tiny Space Bathroom, and Hubby working 3 jobs! WOW! Then throw in furniture building, homeschooling, and our kitchen remodel.

SO here is a recap of July and all the big accomplishments since the new year.

We started the new year with a bang! Lacy, I love her she is so pretty.

You can read about Lacy here. She is a modified remake of the Bathroom Sweet we made last year with some modifications, mainly roping. I loved her creamy, glazed goodness.

Then we got snowed into February and started the parsonage bathroom. Boy, was that fun! You can read about the first couple of weeks of that here. I finally got to reveal it here.

At that point, there was serious catching up to do on the housework and cleaning. And the hubby started really getting busy with 2 of his jobs. While he worked, I was finishing up a gorgeous piece of loveliness. A mate for Lacy. We had started her in February but the parsonage bathroom got in the way of finishing her. Well, I thought I had the perfect opportunity, but she just kept giving me issues. And before I knew it we were getting asked to do ANOTHER bathroom. The Tiny Space Bathroom.

After the business of the 2nd bathroom remodel I got that pretty mate for Lacy finished! Believe when I tell you I was so excited to have her done!

July-ish

That gets us to the last month or so. On top of the housework and the kids, I managed to get a barn door built all by myself. We got the range hood up AND DIY-ed a modern farmhouse style hood made with old siding from our house. Then I managed to build some awesome drawers with reclaimed faces for the kitchen. About the middle of July, we got a wall cabinet built and the face painted and most of the cabinet doors built, painted, and hung here. At that point, I really did not want to do anything anywhere else in the house. I just wanted to stay in my kitchen. Even though it isn't finished! I just love how the kitchen is coming together.

Then there was the fun DIY for my bathroom, a cedar storage piece. And the yummy Scrappie Dog Food. Both were fun quickie things that just pop up in my daily life. See a need and fill it.

This last week of July will be very busy! I have a wedding Saturday! Bittersweet as it will be my last official wedding as a florist. And then on Sunday I have a graduation party for my brother in law. He would be brother in law #10. I can't believe he is this old. I can't believe I am getting this old! Oh well. Life goes on.

Next month I will be having some awesome fun with flooring and tubes and I cannot wait to share it will you!

How are you killing it so far this year?
